This is my Martha Stewart meatloaf. I call it "fancy meatloaf" I made alot and took dinner over to Grandmas house to feed everyone. I really like cooking for alot of people.
This dinner fed Aunt Melinda, Uncle Bernd, Mom, Dad, Becky & kids, William & our kids.
I saw this on the Martha Stewart program awhile ago. You make your meatloaf recipe. Bake it in 2 cake pans. Make mashed potatoes, and whip them until they are very smooth and w/ no lumps. Then you frost the meatloaf with the potatoes- just like you are frosting a cake.
For the decorations you can fill a pastry bag or ziplock bag with some (very smooth) potatoes and pipe on some decorative puffs. Use some veggies to garnish. I used carrots. Last one I made, I used green peas and carrots for the garnish.
Alot of family is here because Grandma is not doing well. She's on hospise care now. I don't have alot of things to say about the situation because I'm so emotional about it. But, I wanted to provide a dinner for everyone. It fed and made everyone happy.
