A friend at work has coordinated a "morale booster" activity. Everyone is to bring a baby pic and they will all be posted. Every one will guess who's who...so that got me into scanning old photos. Here's a few, enjoy.

Rileys Blog?

Maybe I should turn this into Rileys Blog. It seems I am mostly posting about her. She is my little creator! And she is soooo cute!

I have been trying to finish my quilt.. It is going slowly since I am quilting by hand and can't find my favorite thimble. Riley has been sewing with me. When I pick up my hoop she picks up hers and she sews when I do.

I'm so happy .. I have a sewing buddy! I remember her at 6 months under the table when I was sewing on the machine and she'd try to push on the peddle. It was a game for her. She's always been interested in what I do and will want to help. Last year I found a little hoop and a large dull needle for her. I would put felt on the hoop and she'd make a few large stitches. Now she uses a smaller needle and fabric. I put a stabelizer with the fabric and we add beads. She wants to make things for others. The fabric in the photos is a butterfly and she wants to make it into a pillow.

There is nothing in the world like waking up in the mountains.
I can not explain how wonderful it is to breath in clean-pine-tree-air, to hear the trees and see deer in the wild. Every star is visible and unbelivably awesome! The milky way looks like a cloud it is so dense with stars.
I would love to spend everyday of my life in the beautiful mountains.

And then we came back down to the valley...

Hopes and dreams for our next trip up the hill.

The best part - spending time with the best of friends. Friends that feel like family. (the family you like to spend time with)

Rileys 1st day of Kindergarden

Today is the first day of school. Liam starts 3rd grade and Riley starts Kindergarden.

Painting with Riley

4 year olds are true artists. Modern artists, but artists none the less.
I love to watch Riley creating. She creates these complete stories behind the painting. 'She will paint the most beautiful picture for Santa! And if she does a really, really good job then maybe he will bring her a hampster.'
