Finally!!!A day off from work.
I've been painting with Riley today. She is such a perfectionist (at 4) that when the humpback whale didn't look like a humpback whale - she had a
freekout for 20 minutes. I had to send her to her room for a time out/chill out. This humpback whale project was on her agenda since before breakfast. She must have imagined it differently. Everything is calmer now though.

I printed out some humpback whale pictures on the
internet and had her paint one so she can cut and paste it onto her larger paper.
Liam, age 8, is talking car talk now. When his dad is at work he plays the race car game on the
xbox 360 and knows the names of all the cars. When did he grow up? He's an amazing kid. He is a master at getting his way. My sister says he'll be a Lawyer someday. He will argue any point for as long as it takes.
He was in trouble a few months ago. He brought a note home from his teacher saying that he 'cheated'. He started writing the answers to the timed test before he was supposed to. He was trying to get a head start.
2 weeks later at the award ceremony he received the 'timed math test' award. and the next month(may 2007) he was Student of the Month.
His father and I are so proud,
...and somewhat confused.
We
definitely expect great things from him.
More after the paint dries
